Hey Claudia, I had some time today so thought I would send you a real testimonial/update on the Flint Man since I have only updated you via facebook in the past. I attached some pics of him :) He is still doing well in his flyball training, we are starting his box turn work and he is picking it up quickly, not to much though as his joints are still growing! He loves the other dogs in the pack and they play all the time! Everywhere we go we here from others how hansome he is and are so glad we got him. He loves to lick and wake you up in the morning by jumping on you! He is going to be a big boy as he is already 21 3/4 inches tall and 45 pounds!
Katie

Now that I've gotten to know him more, I have to say I love him that much more. He's an awesome little dog. When big dogs come around, he has no problems with them being the boss, so they sniff him and he just lets it happen, wagging his tail. He's met about ten new dogs since he's gotten here, so he's got a bunch of new friends. He lets me go in the door first, always follows me and likes to stand in between my feet and I already almost have him sitting on command and doing 'leave it' with toys and food. He's the perfect dog for me. : )
It's amazing because I have read a bunch of stuff on dog psychology and they have a set of archetypes that dogs fall under for, basically dominance levels. Well, our basset hound Daisy, she is at the very tip top of that scale. When she meets a new dog, all hell breaks loose and she jumps all over it and sniffs it's face and whines and gets really excited and tries to nip at their neck and legs. But he is more right in the middle of the scale, which is perfect! Oh by the way, I changed his name to Kepler. He's named after Johannes Kepler, who was a 17th century astronomer/mathematician who did a lot for science, including giving validity to Newton's Laws of Physics. I thought it was fitting since he's such a smarty pants and it sort of sounds like Edward so he already responds to it. Anyways, I just had to expel this energy SOMEWHERE and tell someone how awesome he is. Thanks Claudia!

Here are a few pictures of baby girl.  She absolutely loves toys, puppy chewies and little tennis balls....2 of her favorites are my other dog's cheeseburger squeaky and his butterfly that crinkles.  She already comes will I call her name, but so far "no" isn't working :)

Tomorrow she will be 8 weeks old, and today she took to the dog door and actually let herself out to go potty all by herself!

She is the cutest little thing and my brother wants to steal her and comes by to visit her, not me!!

New pups are gorgeous, but of course!  You take care, Claudia - I'll keep in touch.

Hello Claudia
Heren (aka) Maxie is now ten weeks old, and growing very fast.  Vet visit today ( for more shots and check up) showed she has gained three pounds in the last two weeks. Words can not say enough thanks for the wonderful puppy you sent to me. She is perfect in every way, 100% puppy 200% love.  She is so smart, house broke easy, fetching balls and Frisbee and tries very hard to please.  She is pure joy and so much fun to watch.  Your hard work and careful breeding has produced some wonderful little guys.
Thanks again  Evelyn Greiner

Claudia, I just wanted to let you know how great Kerry is doing so far!! She was such a good puppy the whole drive back to San Antonio (she just zonked out most of the trip, as you see in the pic:). And she is absolutely loving her new big sis! They have played together non-stop...I think we will more than accomplish our mission of giving Bella a friend/playmate. They are already wearing each other out (as you can see in the other pic!:) She already seems comfortable with our home and she is definitely getting to know us as her new mommy and daddy! We absolutely love her - thank you again for everything and we will continue to keep you posted on how she is doing. -Danielle

UPDATE!!!

Hi Claudia,
I am so sorry that it's been so long since we sent you an update! Time has just gotten away from me...but our little one (who we actually renamed Zoey) is doing wonderful!! She is such a sweet, playful, well-behaved pup! She is very smart, and awesome at fetch! She is just starting to jump up and catch her Frisbee in the air:)
And she gets along wonderfully with Bella, our other border collie - they have become best friends and play together constantly!
Thank you so much for letting us take home this little bundle of joy:)
Take care,

Danielle and Pablo Villarreal

UPDATE!!! Hi Claudia, Enik is the best! He is great! Thank you so much!!! He did well on the car ride back, he slept most of the way. He didn't cry much his first night and his second night he didn't cry at all. He's adapting well. He is very playful and very smart. (he already knows sit and the 'go to bed' command) His potty training is going well ( he knows to sit by the door when he needs to go out.) He loves to go for walks, and when he's not playing or walking he is always sleeping somewhere close by. He hasn't gotten use to the stairs yet (he'll go up but not down.) He has been nic' named 'The Prince' a title that suits him well. He doesn't bark much and already knows his name. I really love him!! He gets along with everyone, including Bellla (my rabbit.) I love his color. I get so many compliments on how beautiful he is. I have attached some pictures of him. He's so cute, thoughs eyes of his get him out of so much trouble.(he likes shoes)
Thank you again Claudia!!

UPDATE!!!

Hi Claudia. Sorry its been so long since i sent in an update, but Enik is doing great. I'm lovin life with him! He's grown so much 28 pounds so far! I just took tons of pictures of him. His very first snowday was today and he loved it! He starts manner 101 classes in January and Therapy Dog Classes in June!! Thank you again for my wonderful Border Collie Puppy! (Hopefully I'll have a video up on youtube in time for Christmas!!) Happy Holidays!

UPDATE!!!

Hey Claudia! I just wanted to update you on Jasper, even though I know you can see things about him on facebook all the time. He's doing great! He's surprisingly calm for a border collie puppy (or so I'm being told by border collie owners!) He is super sweet and LOVES meeting other people and dogs. I have him in some puppy classes and he's doing really well, of course he does much better when it's just him and I training than when other people are around to distract him! He catches on to everything very quickly. We haven't had an accidents inside the house this week either! He has been sleeping through the whole night since his 4th night here. I have found the key to that was to not let him eat past 8pm. He handles himself well being in the expen while I'm gone at work and LOVES the 'mommy and me' time he gets when I come home. He's also going into his crate, for bedtime, on command now. He still thinks my cat is another dog and tries to play with him....the cat isn't too happy about it but he tolerates it or runs away. I'm also having some issues of him wanting to be in the car. He's gotten car sick a few times and since then he doesn't like going near/in the car. It's getting a little better putting him in the back seat (with a towel down!) and trying to make the car a fun place, but I think it's going to take some time. He is so good at the commands down, leave it, wait, and come (though the last one is being worked on out in public). He's so sweet and kind, I love him to death. I can't wait to see what he will be like as an adult! Thank you for such a wonderful puppy. Sincerely, Holly Lauber

UPDATE!!!

Well, the pink brigade picked up Cassidy from the airport last night at 10 PM (Curt’s usual bedtime) and we hit the hay around 12:30 – it’s going to be a long day.

She was great off the plane – calm and mellow. After a drink, lots of licks and tail wagging, she slept on my lap on the way home. Once home, we headed for the grass to potty, open her presents, explore, and stretch her legs. She already has 5 toys (most are pink), a pink camo water dish, pink and green striped collar and a pink leash. As someone told Curt, you’d think we’d just adopted a baby from China, the way the way we were acting. (I know we are crazy, but we are excited!)

She loves to lay with her legs stretched out and tummy on the cool grass or the tile. She has explored much of the yard and most of the house – no fear. She takes a piece of food out of the dish and runs off to eat it by herself. She is a fast little bugger – we cannot get her to hold still long enough to take a good photo! Attached are a few attempts from last night and some better ones this morning. She sure misses her brothers and sister – she whined and sniffed looking for them after the excitement wore off and Sally went home. She cried for 20 minutes when we first put her to bed in her crate, and then she fell asleep. But I was up 3 hours later with her for a potty break and then she cried again for 2 hours.  I guess she was trying to tell us she still needed to potty, as she had a little accident in her crate. Oops!

She already knows her name and comes when you whistle. If you whistle different sounds, she cocks her head to one side and then the other with the funniest look. She chases the Frisbee and brings it back to you some of the time. She also likes to run around with it, but it’s bigger than she is! Because I have a busy appointment day, Curt took her to his Glendale office to “put her to work”. He sent this picture of her chewing on her tennis ball toy on the office floor. Tough job.

Her brother, Zazu, arrived with her, so she had a travel buddy. He also lives in Ahwatukee and his mom’s name is Stephanie! We plan to get them together for play dates and puppy training. He’s a cutie but looks nothing like Cass! Will have more photos later of her arrival with Zazu, but for now, here she is on her first day in sunny AZ!

She’s looking forward to meeting all of you, plus Bessie, Bella, and her future Hampton canine cousin!
Stephanie

UPDATE!! Claudia, We finally got Cassidy and Zazu together last weekend to play – it was so cute!  They recognized each other and played for an hour, and then Cass slept most of the afternoon.  They took turns tackling each other and running around the park.  Zazu is much bigger with longer fur – they really don’t look related but we know they are! Cass looks like a coyote and Stephanie H. says Zazu gets panda comments. Steph H. says Zazu is a jumper and is good at staying close by her, but Cass isn’t so much – she has a mind of her own!  We are both working on skills with them. We had Cass at our cabin this weekend – she loves the cool weather, exploring, digging holes and fetching her stick (see pic). Curt says she’s going to be a mountain dog. They are doing great in AZ! Stephanie Coffman

UPDATE!!!

Cassidy is awesome, beautiful, and we love her so much. Since the day we brought her home she still moves her head back and forth when you talk to her. I have to show you this photo – was testing our new camera and she is so fast with her head the shot is blurry! Another photo shows her holding her hedgehog.
We are thinking she would love the challenge of a new puppy – someone she can chase and herd and cuddle with. She is a lover but has also so much energy and focus. She is a keen bunny hunter and recently discovered a lizard in our backyard that she looks for every morning and chases, whining the entire time because she cannot catch him.
I have started taking her on runs with me and she loves it. She is so fast – we take her to the neighborhood park and she races all the dogs (mostly Labs) to the ball, leaves it for them, and herds them all back in a tight group before we go home – it is hilarious.
Curt took her to work today and I miss her and it’s only 10:30!
Stephanie

UPDATE!!!

UPDATE!! Junebug had a great time at Galveston with Max. She is so sweet and cute. Getting big by the minute.
Junie is full of energy, even Max is worn out.
Thanks, Jennifer

UPDATE!!!

These Beautiful girl's are living the good life in Dallas!!!

UPDATE!! Cooper, formerly Sean, has been with us for a month now.  He is a quirky little pup and growing quickly - he has doubled in size since we got him.  His left eye has stayed blue and his right eye has some brown streaks like his mom Mocha's eyes.

UPDATE!! Claudia, Cooper graduated from puppy training today and was the star of his class. We also discovered that he really, really loves to play in the water.  I am attaching a few recent photos of our little guy.
Stephanie

UPDATE!! Claudia, Cooper will celebrate his first birthday on April 9th. It is hard to believe we have had him for 10 months! He is turning into such a well mannered dog. He has started jogging a bit with me and has regular play dates with his dog friends, but his favorite play time is still chasing the water stream from the hose. When we weighed him this week he weighed in at 49 lbs and is tall! He is about an inch taller than his friend Millie, who is a 62 lb yellow lab. If I remember correctly he outweighs both of his parents (Mocha and Mate). Do you have any idea how big the rest of the pups from that litter got?
We treat Cooper like he is our child, so of course we are hosting a birthday party for him. I am making a dog-safe banana-peanut butter cake for Cooper and the other canine attendees. I am attaching a recent photo for you.
Best,
Stephanie

Claudia, Thought you might appreciate his first attempt at herding? However they looked too much like other puppies and his natural instinct  was complete and utter excitement. It was the cutest thing!
Cara and Kyle Thayer, Splendorview Farm & Strawberry Fields Hampshires

UPDATE!! Claudia,  Bear (the dog formally known as Taft) is still doing great! He is growing like a weed and makes each day a new adventure. We cannot Thank You enough for giving us the opportunity to purchase such a great dog. He continues to think the sheep are big puppies which is just the cutest thing!! here's a few new pictures:)

Update: Claudia,     Hope all is going well.  Bear is doing great.  We are in the height of lambing here at the farm and Bear is loving it.  Last week we had a set of triplets born and this little girl needed a bit of TLC.  By the time she went back out to the barn she was pretty sure she was a border collie and bear was her papa.  Thought you would enjoy these latest pics.   Love Kyle, Cara and Bear

Hi Claudia!!
Boy are we having fun!! Lotto is growing so big. She is 15 pounds already!! We’ve been to the vet a few times for vaccinations and what-not and the staff at the vet just love it when she comes. I work three days a week and don’t have the heart to keep her confined so I enrolled her in a canine play group. She goes and parties the day away with a bunch of other dogs!! She is the life of the party there and has made many friends. Our vet really thought this place was clean, well run and all the dogs are heavily screened to ensure current vaccinations and no behavior problems. The dog trainer there has three Border Collies and conducts classes on agility. Maybe down the road, we’ll check out one of her classes. Lotto’s really smart!! Jim, the kids and I have already been working with her. I need a dry day to film her and show you what she’s up to. Unfortunately, it has been non-stop rain. The poor kids have outside track practice for an hour and a half three nights a week and a meet all day Saturdays and have been suffering the elements but Lotto loves it!! Lots and lots of exercise on those evenings/days and lots of kids, she is so good with everyone!! Our friends own a family golf course close to us and Lotto is in heaven when we go there!! We have 5 acres, but they have, I don’t know maybe fifty and a pond!! I know we’ll be there a lot over the summer. Lotto is so funny. At times she will see another dog or deer in the distance and out will come this giant, scary bark… you can hardly believe it comes out of her. Very cute!! Our home computer blew up a few weeks back and is getting fixed alla the Geek Squad. As soon as I get it back into operation, I’ll send you some photos I have downloaded in it. Jim and I hope you and your family are well!! Thank you so much for Lotto!! We all love her very, very much!!
Regards, Lisa Curzon

UPDATE!! Hi Claudia~ Sorry it has taken me so long to report back to you on how Lotto is doing. Last Sunday, the day Lotto arrived, home in Oregon, my daughter Madeline came down with the flu and was down through Monday , Jim had it on Tuesday, my older son Spencer was down Wednesday through Sunday and Nicholas was down Saturday and Sunday. I’m crossing my fingers that I avoid its wrath. I missed work all last week but spent a ton of time getting to know and play with Lotto. She is doing GREAT!! We’ve all had so much fun with her. Some of the highlights Lotto, Maddy and I visited our vet on Monday. She thought Lotto was a doll, in great shape, gave her some worm medicine and we scheduled an appointment for another round of shots in four weeks. We went to the kid’s school a couple of times, met lots of kids and parents and generally had everyone loving Border Collies, in particular Lotto!! Lotto and I did lots of chores together… we washed and vacuumed my car (Lotto LOVED, LOVED the water), organized the garage (Broom vs. Lotto… sweeping was challenging… so I had to finish when she took a nap) and pruned some trees (Lotto loved dragging the smaller cuttings out of the way). Lotto and Ginger (our cat) are getting to know each other!! They are getting along surprisingly well. Lotto is so smart. She knows her name, sits well, can jump through a hoop, and is learning come and stay. Jim and Maddy made a video with Lotto and posted it on UTube. Please see below linkJ. Lotto has gone three occasions with no potty breaks in the night and is beginning to embrace her crate. Jim and Maddy gave Lotto a bath last night. It went well, much better than the one and only time Jim tried to give our cat a bath. Of course she immediately ran outside and rolled in the dirt!!  I will email you some photos on Tuesday when I go into the office as they don’t transmit well from our home computer. Thank you so much for Lotto!! We love her so much We hope both you and your husband are well!! Take care.

Hello Claudia, We had a wonderful, long Thanksgiving weekend with our new "kid" and enjoyed it so much. Thought I would send the attached pictures so you would see how she's progressing into her ninth week. She is doing everything she can to get accepted by our pack and slowly but surely, she is winning them all over with her zany little personality. She is a hoot. I either call her Meggar Muffin or Meggar Monster, depending on how she's behaving at that particular time! She is a very vocal dog in that she growls and squeaks and probably will do some "talking" just like our Flashy dog does. There are just things she apparently needs us to understand that we don't. It has become obvious Katie Bug is her favorite of the group and she virtually shadows her every move. It's quite funny to see Kate have to deal with a little "pest" just like she was to Flashy and Turbo not so very long ago. As you can tell by the continued pictures, we are loving her to pieces and she is finally learning that kissing is a much more readily accepted form of greeting than is biting! She's smart, funny and is everything we expected in our new addition. Thank you for everything...she's happy and healthy and for all of this, I am so thankful to you as a breeder. So, this is my note of Thanksgiving for you for your continued guidance as we raise our newest family member. We love her and can't wait to let you see her as she grows and develops into the BC she is meant to be! I think our journey will be as fun as it gets!!

Meg is precious….perfect actually! She fits in so well and is doing so well in all aspects of her training. She is completely housebroken, knows the difference between shoes, pillows, etc. and toys, and is so smart. She’s usually pushing the bar as far as it will go, then backing off, being cute, and totally getting out of trouble! She crate trained better than any dog I have ever been around and after I let her go out to potty in the morning, she comes and snuggles with Nolan and I until we get out of bed for the day. She’s the best snuggler ever and I have three pretty darn good competitors. She found the toilet watering hole yesterday and herds the cats around daily. See what I mean about her being perfect?!?!?! Weather permitting, we plan to take some pictures this weekend. She’s grown so much, is so slender, and has such long, lean legs. She’s a real beauty and you need to see her. I will send the next round soon!
Much love from Meg and I!!! XOXOXOX

UPDATE!!! Claudia: Finally, some updated pictures of Meg! We took her fishing this weekend and she’s so intense on never letting the lure out of her sight. She could care less about the fish we reel in, but she loves that lure! She’s such a little trickster, we have to tie the front gate closed because she has figured out how to open it with her nose….sometimes I think she’s our little Wily Coyote! HA She’s a doll and I’m so glad we found you and her.  I can hardly believe it’s been nearly a year since she’s been around. Just seems like yesterday we picked her up. I hope you can see how much we love our Meggar Muffin and you feel good she’s gotten a good home! Speaking of birthdays, I hope you had a wonderful birthday. XOXOOX

UPDATE!

Good morning Claudia: I had to share a few pictures of Meg's first real snow with you...we had a ball this morning! Thank you for Meg...I couldn't love her more! XOXOOX Pam

Hello Claudia! =) I took some photos of Bly today! He is doing WONDERFUL at his new home- Very happy and VERY playful! Thank you again!! Love- Bekah And Bly

UPDATE!!!

Claudia: Thought you might enjoy some pictures of the boys.  They are growing so quickly.  Doing good, Sniper has a “baby tumor” on his right hind leg.  The vet says nothing to worry about, she has him on antibiotics and if it does not go away on its own, she will remove it when she neuters him.  He is so sweet and will let me cuddle with him and is defending himself more and more against Gunny.  His coloring is beautiful. Gunny is the wild and crazy one, but getting more and more under control all the time.  He loves to play and aggravate Sniper and steal all the toys.  He minds Don well. They are eating well and gaining weight They are sitting on command and walking on leash.  They play like crazy and then crash.  Of course, that is when they are like angels.

Claudia Thought you would want to know that Don took the boys to our Vet today and they got a clean bill of health.  Gunny will have his dew claws removed when they neuter him at about 5-6 months.  No shots today, next visit they will get boosters. They are really beginning to settle down more.  Gunny has now learned to climb out of the corral that we have in the family room and then Sniper whines because he has been left behind.  We are beginning to be able to let them out more and more in the house because they are learning to potty outside and they are being good about playing with their toys. They love to play chase and it is such fun to watch them.  The leash training is getting better and better each night.  They have made several friends already, all bigger than them, and they just go crazy when we meet them while walking. Will send more pictures.  The weather has been terrible here so we have not been able to take too many pictures but it has at least cleared up enough at night that we can take them on a walk.  They get into every puddle that they find!!!!! Don and Wendy P.

They have grown so much as you can tell by the pictures.  They move so quickly all the time that it is hard to snap action shots.  They love to chase the water sprinklers especially Gunny, hence the wet dogs in some pictures.  They just romp and run all over the yard and have such a great time together.  So glad that we got them together.  Sniper has to prop his head when sleeping, it is so cute.  When in the kennel, he flips and flops until he gets his bed just right and has a place to lay his head.  Such funny personalities! We had them neutered after the hurricane, they had a vet appointment for shots and they were not busy so we scheduled their surgery.  They got such wonderful care because there so few dogs in the clinic at the time.  We also had Gunny’s back dew claws removed also.  They were fully recovered in just a few days and Gunny did wear a collar so not to chew his stitches out.  Now they are back going full force as if nothing ever happened. Sniper is the sweet cuddly one, but does get the upper hand at times.  His baby tumor dried up with the antibiotics and has fallen off and he is doing great.  Very smart and loves treats.  He now weighs two pounds less than Gunny. Gunny is the whinner.  When he got his shots, he could barely walk and actually let us hold him for the entire evening.  He was so funny, but back to usual self the next morning.  He is extremely smart and very mischievious, but very lovable also.  Strong minded but is the first to learn everything. At the time of the neutering, Gunny was at 18 pounds and Sniper at 16 pounds.  We have our next appointment next week for the next round of shots. They are doing wonderful and we are really enjoying them.

Claudia, I thought you would like to know how Nine is doing... He is doing GREAT! I'm so glad I came and got him last weekend because I would have missed so much this week if I hadn't. He's growing so fast and his personality is really starting to show. He is so sweet and very very playful. I think he is going to be kind of like his dad... He's also showing some more brindle around his face and legs, he is gonna be gorgeous! I'll continue to keep you updated Peter

Claudia, I LOVE him,  he has a new name,  we call him Merlin, you know like the magician. He is perfect... Let me tell you when we got home he met my new grandbaby who was laying on a pallet on the floor sleeping, he is the same age as Merlin by the way . , the puppy went over and sniffed him ,licked his ear and lay down beside him and went to sleep.  He barks once when he sees me come in to a room  just to say hello. My family adores him and we have only had him a week.  He has a favorite toy its a small squeaky soccer ball he drives us crazy since he learned how to squeak it.. all the time and chases it all over the house. Anyway I know I am carrying on but I just wanted to let you know how much of a treasure he is.  Thanks

UPDATE!! Hi Claudia, thought I would send you some pics of Merlin, we have so much fun with him . He is so smart. Talk about a ball catching and Frisbee catching dog , he can do that for hours and he catches them in the air already.   He does not like baths but loves the water ... go figure.  I worry that he is lonesome and needs a playmate . I was run down by a motorcycle November 14th  so I can't run with him anymore.  my foot was crushed and shoulder broke. I am on the mend but I can tell he misses me running around the backyard with him. We are kind of thinking maybe a little girl pup would cheer him up.   Any ideas?  I am thinking really light coloring with blue eyes.

Meet Nala. She has a very proud Mom - she is going to be featured in a Calendar!

Hi, Claudia! We wanted so much to send you some current pictures of Cash. He has turned out to be such a great dog! He is not only a great sheep/cattle herder, but the most loving dog we have ever owned. He loves to go out to my friends' big cattle ranch, 1200 acres, and help move the cows from pasture to pasture! And, on the other hand, he is on the couch at night, giving us kisses and watching TV! If you hear that Cash's parents are going to have any puppies, could you let us know? I also have a friend who is looking for a great ranch dog, too. (Border Collie, of course!)
We hope you are well.
Thanks so much.
Bruce and Kathie McBroom

UPDATE!!!

Hi, Claudia,
We had Cash in a cowdog trial over Easter weekend. He came in second! The
other dogs and the dog that beat him finished in 11+ minutes. He finished in
7 minutes! We are really proud of him.
Just wanted to give you that update.
Kathie and Bruce McBroom

Tate is such a funny dog.  First day he wasn't so sure about the water or the waves.  But by the 2nd day, he was right at home in the water.  However, he will only potty (either one) on the beach in the water.  Such a silly dog.  He loves to play Frisbee and gets very unhappy if he can't play at least once a day.  He hasn't figured out yet exactly how to catch it but that may be due to the fact I am a lousy Frisbee thrower.  He is learning to catch balls right now but still hasn't got it down completely.  He loves people especially pretty girls of ALL ages.  He found a crab this morning on the beach and was smart enough to leave it alone. He finished his puppy classes and will start his Intermediate classes next month.   His teacher says he is an exceptionally smart dog.  I am planning on going fishing later in the week.  I wanted to get him use to the place before we took on more new stuff.   It will be interesting to see how he reacts to the fireworks.  Fortunately, he is not disturbed by loud sounds.  I think that may be due to me because I expose him to a lot of stuff including sounds.  In the city a dog better be use to sounds. I just love Tate and I'm so glad I met you and found him.
Thanks again. -Cindy Catlett

Claudia
The puppies are fine. They are definitely different dogs. At times, I feel like I have two childen again (hahaha) except they are easier to deal with.; Tate has matured nicely. He is so good natured and smart....a real problem solver. Belle is more the herder type. She is fast like a greyhound and agile like an acrobat. She hates trucks mostly because she hates loud noises and surprises. I'm working with her on the trucks and little by little she is getting better about it but she still goes out of her way to avoid trucks. Trash day around here with her is not good (gggg). Here's the latest story. When I'm ready to take them for a walk to go potty, I sing this jingle from the Dell computer commercial. It's the one about the colorful notebooks that goes, lollipop, lollipop, Oh lolly, lollipop....you probably heard it. Anyways I put different words to the jingle and now every time the jingle comes on TV, Tate will get up from whatever he is doing (even a dead sleep) and look at me like is it time to go Potty? It is so funny. Either Dell needs another commercial or I need to make up a different song. (LOL)

Dedicated to my dogs

I heard someone say earlier today that they loved their dog more than people. And I thought about how I could relate to that statement.

My dogs love me unconditionally.
My dogs don't criticize me.
My dogs don't try to change me.
I can be myself around my dogs and not have to worry about offending anyone.

My dogs care about me and never, NEVER interrupt me when I am talking.
My dogs never lie and are never cruel.
My dogs are always grateful for anything I give them...love, affection, toys, chews, treats, whatever they may be, even if they can't say thanks.

When I'm hurt, my dogs are on top of the situation (literally).
When I'm crying my dogs are always there to lick my tears away and give me a look that always makes me smile, at least a little bit.
When I am cold, I can cuddle up with my dogs and they will keep me warm.

My dogs live for and enjoy today.
They don't worry about yesterday or tomorrow.
My dogs have taught me a lot about what is really important in life.

I never knew what real joy was until I got my dogs.
People will always let you down but a good dog will literally melt your heart.
I thank god for the opportunity to have such loving creatures in my life

Hi Claudia-
Just wanted to say hi and check in with some pics. Bella is doing great! She loves to swim. The other day we were floating around on our rafts, looked over, and Bella was laying on her own. I guess she jumped on when it went around to the side. She is so smart, it is amazing. She knows the name of 3 of her toys and will go and get them if you ask her. She loves to run and gets quite frustrated with me if I can't keep up, which is often. She loves the kids and thinks that she is the boss of Brayden. We are working on it, but not sure if it is going to make a difference. If she wants him to go somewhere, she will pretty much make sure of it. Saw the pics of the new puppies and they are so cute!!!
Talk to you soon. Jennifer

Claudia, Just wanted to let you know how Chase was doing. First of all he was the best boy ever for the trip home. No car sickness or any accidents, he just slept and kept us great company. He is definitely a "traveling" dog. He is doing great with staying in the house. He gets along with our other dogs well also. He has a great personality and we have never seen him be shy. We take him to the farm daily and even when we had our biggest bull in the head gate getting immunized, he was thrashing around and making noise, chase just barked and never coward from all the commotion. Also, we had a 500 pound calf that ran right up to him and he stood straight in front of him without flinching.  We haven't started actually working yet because he is a little too small, but we are familiarizing him with everything we do. He goes everywhere in the truck with us, he has learned what "get out" means and jumps out well. He can't "get in" yet because he's still a little guy. We LOVE!!!!! this dog, we have never had such a smart and wonderful dog in our life. Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful gift to our family. We will update and send pictures in the future!
Thanks so much,
John and Becky Osborne & Chase :)

Hey!
Fly is doing great. He is really a great puppy. He's really outgoing and not afraid of anything. You were really right when you said he was an alpha pup! He has worked out his place in our pack and, though it is not the top dog, he is certainly not the bottom of the pack either! He's really smart and I think that he will make a very good search dog some day. His best buddy is my border collie mix that I'm training. Fly loves to play. Here are a few pictures, including a rare picture that is the last one! He rarely rests, it seems. He's a busy boy. He's finally learning to go potty outside. I don't know why it was taking so long, except that when I was at work Sonny wasn't watching him closely enough. We have a doggy door, but it has magnets that hold it shut. He comes in it pretty easily, but doesn't go out as easily because he tries to scratch too high up on the door for it to open. He is getting the idea to go outside to potty and not do it inside. In fact, tonight we let him stay inside loose while we were gone for about 2 hours and he ran outside when we got home and went potty. He did not have any accidents inside!! We also have a hard time filling him up! He eats constantly almost, it seems. We do feed him several times a day because he is a growing boy. I thought you might enjoy the pictures. Hey! Just thought you'd like to see how Fly is doing! It is difficult to get a really good picture of him. He's either moving or asleep. Check out his unusual coloring. I do believe he is a tricolor, but he does not have clear patches of red. Instead, his legs, belly, and head have a rather dirty look. You can see it in a couple of those pictures. He has started training in search and rescue. I think he will do well.

This is a very beautiful Red Merle named TEXAS! She is our Italian dog..
She was purchased by Sandra and Christian and they flew her home to Italy!

Hi Claudia The boys are doing really well. On Friday, Alyx weighed in at 18.3 lbs (up from 9.3 four weeks ago) and Gabe weighed in at 17.5 (up from 9.9). Alyx looks like he may end up being taller than Gabe, but still too soon to tell. Their personalities are coming out in full force and it is so much fun watching them discover themselves as well as collect twigs and rocks. We took them to a 'dog wash' fundraiser over the weekend. Lots of socializing with people and four-legged friends. They've already mastered "sit" and "down". We start puppy class on Sunday. Busy, busy, busy...ever the life of the border collie.  I've attached a couple pictures that we just took at 13 weeks. We would be happy to write a testimonial and share some more pictures. Please pass on any websites that have border collie 'stuff'. We won't be going overboard, but I am looking for a bumper sticker that says "My border collie is smarter than your honor student." Thanks again. The boys have brought so much joy into our lives and it is only beginning.

Hope this is still your email address.
Let me know and I'll fill you in on how great Alyx and Gabe are doing.
Not sure you remember us (from the Houston area)--Gabe and Al will be 4 this June. We live in The Woodlands now. One of the pictures is of the boys relaxing after a swim in the pool--they LOVE to swim!
We thank them everyday for choosing us!

Claudia, Thought I'd send a couple of pictures for y'all to have of your former tenant Isis (her name's Emma now, she liked it better). I have probably two or three hundred photos and video clips but these sum up mostly what her time is spent doing, sleeping. She gets to go to Quiet Waters Park in Boca Raton at least once a day and around the lake out front four or five times a day plus plays with everyone she sees outside as well. She has sit and heel down but is working on stay. Good enough considering most dogs can't pick things like this up at two or three times her age. Her white ear is standing up first so it's kind of funny looking but the black ear is starting to get better at it. Anywhere you throw a sheet on the floor, she'll lay there and pass out within ten minutes. She's 28 lbs now and far from fat. She knows three of her toys by name and will go through the house and find whichever one you tell her to get. She will sit motionless through any entire episode of South Park (I haven't tried any other cartoon, I think it's mostly the voices) and has certain videos that she will always run into the other room to watch  and then return, once they're over. She still doesn't like men (at all), except the ones she has been around from the beginning but she loves women and other dogs, even the meanest dogs around here are nice to her for some reason. She can spot which kids are rough and are eye pokers and will avoid them, the rest she loves and is extremely gentle with, especially those like 4 and younger. She can catch the frisbee about one out of every four or five tries and has to use her legs to help do so sometimes but she's getting there. If you throw two tennis balls for her at once, she'll carry one in her teeth and push the other back with her feet sometimes. I've decided to get the trick ideas from watching her rather than just using the same ones everyone else does. She takes her tug rope by one end and hits her golf ball with it sometimes, if I can just work with that I'm quitting my current job and taking her to Vegas or Hollywood. I'll get her to wave to y'all when she's on Letterman for Stupid Pet Tricks one day.

Claudia,
It is hard to believe that Bella and Indy will be 2 years old in the coming months.  Time sure flies since I drove up to Mt. Pleasant from Houston to pick them up. They are living currently between our home in Houston and our Farm in Shiner Texas.  If asked they would say they like the Shiner house better.  We have a Polaris Ranger that they both love to ride in.  All you have to say is 'let's go Ranger Riding' and they are all ready to go.  Bella likes it so much she will just climb in it and lay down waiting for us to take her for a ride. I am planning to retire in January so we will move there full time and have plenty of time for Ranger Rides.
Indy having been the runt of her litter continues to exert her alpha dog behavior.  Weighing in at only around 32 pounds, Bella out weighs her by 20 pounds but with her mild temperament,  Bella yields to her.  But with all things even the mellow have a point and Bella will eventually come back full force to show Miss Indy that when push comes to shove 52 pounds can put a runt in her place.  They have very different personalities and both are very loving to my husband and I.  Although none will ever replace our beloved Miss Lacey, Bella and Indy have made their own special way into our hearts.  We love them dearly.  Here are some pictures taken in May. A friend of ours was visiting us in Shiner and she did a whole photo shoot of the girds. I hope you enjoy them and can add them to your web site.

Just dropping you an email to give you an update on Max(Grant our blue merle) he is doing really good.  Got the potty training thing down fairly well although he sleeps outside so there isn’t a lot of room for accidents.  His eyes are a really strange sort of golden color.  They are bluish towards the pupils and even though I really wanted them to be blue they are still pretty.  The funniest thing about him I think are his ears.  They sort of sit on top of his head and just flop at the tips.  He is still a big fur ball and he and our yorkie play like crazy constantly.  I really want to commend you on raising such a healthy puppy.  The beginning of this week I had an opportunity to “rescue” a little girl border collie.  She and 2 of her brothers had not been sold and she is probably around the same size as Max(3.5 months) My boyfriend insist that she doesn’t look full bred but I saw her parents and although they were more lanky than I am use to they appeared full to me.  Anyway the breeders(if you want to call them that) were getting divorced and she had been commited to the state hospital(crazy story) and just wanted to get rid of the puppies.  She is the most timid terrified thing I have ever seen.  She is in a constant crouch and if you put her some place she won’t move for anything.  She acted like she had never seen grass and she was flea bitten and a mess.  She seems terrified of people although she is warming up to the other dogs.  I took her to the ranch one night last week and I did see her get a little bit feisty when the donkeys came sniffing around but the difference in behavior between her and max is amazing.  It’s so obvious that he was loved before he came to us and so obvious that she was probably neglected and/or abused before I found her.  I’ll send some pictures of my cutie as soon as I can.  He is just gorgeous.

UPDATE!! Hey Claudia.  Here is a recent picture of Max Pancho.  He is getting huge!!  He spends a lot of time in the kiddy pool and he can jump on the bed and couch now so Lexi the Yorkie is never safe anymore.  His leash skills have improved but he is still a jumper and since he is in the pool all the time it isn’t a pleasant trait.  The last 2 pictures are of the week we got him.  He decided that he needed to play a little soccer with my daughters team and made a run on the field.

Claudia,
Attached is a picture of the boys hanging out early this morning before anyone had a chance to get cleaned up!

Hi Claudia, We were at the vet Saturday, Elvis got his rabbies shot and the little porker weights 28 lbs. He always playing and having fun so he doesn't look fat just healthy. He getting the hang of house training, it took a little time but now he lets us know when he has to go. Any just wanted to let you know Elivs is doing great.

UPDATE!!!
Hi Claudia, here is Elvis at his first agility class. He really enjoys the challenge performing the tasks at each station. We are just doing the basics because he just 6 months old. I am sure with time he will excel at the agility course because he is a natural athlete. Elvis is up to 42 lbs, he doesn't look it accept when you pick him up. He is real solid in the chest and back quater. His athletic ability is growing rapidly running faster and jumping higher by the week. Most important Elvis is a happy dog just hanging out with Duke and living a full active Boarder Collie life.

Hay Girl,
Just thought I would send you this snapshot I got of Miss Bella, she is a very sweet and friendly girl, sometimes a bit to friendly when people come up on the farm.  Do not know what she is going to do with those ears, one week, both will stand, the next, the one is down.

There are a lot of pictures on this page....

Please note: All of our puppies are registered with ABCA. All puppies are wormed and are current on all shots. If requested, Health Certificates are available for the puppy that you have purchased.  Puppies will not be available for pick up until they are at least 7 weeks old. You are more than welcome to come and visit and spend time with your puppy after it is three weeks of age. Due to cross contamination and illness, I have found that this is the best for the puppy. Additionally, it is very rare that a puppy has not been sold prior to being 6 weeks old. I will be more than happy to send you as many pictures that you want in order to make a decision on a puppy. If you need to keep a puppy here longer than eight weeks of age, that can be arranged. We are very understanding and will work with you in any way that we can. Shipping is avaliable through Continental Airlines! Price for shipping is $300.00 including the puppy crate, health certificate, and airline ticket.
